SECUDE appoints Andreas Opfer as new sales head for Europe, Middle East & Asia

SECUDE streamlines organization structure in sync with market outreach plans

Lucerne, 1 June 2017SECUDE, SAP partner and leading data security provider specializing in security for SAP software, today announced the appointment of Mr. Andreas Opfer as Managing Director and Head of Sales for Europe, Middle East, and Asia (EMEA). He would be reporting directly to the Chairman of SECUDE AG, Dr. Heiner Kromer.

Andreas brings with him over 20 years of core sales experience, many of which have been focussed on SAP. He also has in-depth management leadership experience spanning leading international brands such as Xerox.

The appointment of Andreas to this crucial position comes at the right juncture as SECUDE revamps its organizational structure. SECUDE is merging the management of its headquarters at Lucerne (Switzerland) with the Walldorf office (Germany) to streamline EMEA operations, enable better integration and faster decision making, reach out to new customers and better support existing ones. This move also reflects positive developments in the global market since the roll out of the new and innovative HALOCORE technology 18 months ago.

“These are exciting times. With increasing instances of data breaches, and with the onset of powerful regulations, such as GDPR, naturally coming in to play, SECUDE and HALOCORE are well poised to add critical incremental value to an otherwise robust SAP data security paradigm. With a healthy mix of partner-based relationships and direct sales, SECUDE will be seeing a rapid expansion of logos. We are already in talks with a few major organizations in the DACH region and elsewhere. Going forward, I plan to replicate this in Asia and the Middle East too,” states Andreas.

“Bolstered by a robust technical team and with deep understanding of SAP technology and business processes, Andreas is set to support customers’ data security agenda in line with their digital transformation roadmap,” states Dr. Heiner Kromer, Chairman SECUDE AG.

At this juncture, SECUDE would like to reiterate the special partnership the company has with Microsoft in data security. While HALOCORE is focused on business processes, the encryption side of the solution is deployed in close partnership with Microsoft Information Rights Management. HALOCORE complements users’ GDPR compliance initiatives by enhancing SAP’s security layers.
