SECUDE Celebrates 25 Years of Innovation and Delivery of Excellence to its Customers
LUCERNE, DECEMBER 2021: SECUDE, a leading Digital Rights Management (DRM) solutions provider, and Microsoft Partner, is celebrating the 25th year of innovation and delivery of excellence to its customers. SECUDE is looking back proudly at the many milestones in its history of shaping the data security industry.
A Pioneer With A History Of Success
In 25 years of existence, SECUDE has evolved from a startup to a global security solutions provider. Its solutions are trusted by many Fortune 500 and DAX listed companies and it has branches in Europe, North America, and Asia. Making customers understand the high risk of data loss from malicious insiders and external threat actors was the biggest challenge before the company. While most data security personnel are aware of the risk, they had the overwhelming feeling that their data was always safe. It was a herculean task to make them understand that despite conventional security paradigms, critical data is largely at risk.
SECUDE product development which began with a ‘Single sign-on’ (SSO) for SAP (which was later acquired by SAP in 2011) has steadily transformed and now the company offers automated data security and protection based on Zero Trust strategy with little or no user interference.
SECUDE’s flagship product HALOCORE provides a holistic approach and connects the two worlds of SAP and Microsoft. It extends Microsoft’s security templates into SAP to extend data security throughout a data file’s lifecycle, wherever it resides. SECUDE’s HALOCAD protects invaluable IP in the form of CAD files in SAP and non-SAP environments. With top-notch delivery strengths, domain expertise, and collaborative strength of its top-tier worldwide partners like Microsoft, Siemens, SAP, PTC, Infosys, Wipro, etc., SECUDE delivers the experience of tomorrow today. SECUDE offers an energized work environment with a focus on continuous improvement, collaboration, and teamwork.
“Founded by SAP and Fraunhofer Institute in the mid-‘90s, I am proud to be the CEO for the past 20 years supporting the continuing drive for SECUDE to create unique and key IT security solutions and products. This was only possible with highly motivated, skilled, and leading security engineers. While focus and technologies have evolved and advanced over the years, our people power had migrated into other companies and carried on to innovate in other fields, a core team from the founding years is still with us. Over the years, we created the first solutions in the global market for e-mail, file, and folder encryption in the mid-‘90s. We developed the security library underneath SAP NetWeaver and the backend SAP server to server encryption. It is still today in action.
In early 2000 we developed SSO for SAP and added smart cards. Our SECUDE team created probably the best hard drive encryption in the world while SAP acquired needed core technologies from SECUDE in 2011, the balance of technologies was sold 2014 to Novell. I am proud to say SAP is still using our technologies and the products sold to Novell survived even today via Attachmate to Microfocus’s product portfolio” – Dr. Heiner Kromer, CEO, and Chairman, SECUDE Solutions.
“During the past 5 years, we are deeply engaged with Microsoft security Rights Management by developing use cases in SAP and CAD applications. Major enterprises, the Who’s Who in the world, have adapted our technologies. It is our goal to maintain leadership and to provide the solution and services that today’s competitive markets need. While our focus has shifted to providing automated security solutions, our desire to be the Best in the world has not changed in the 25 years. Microsoft, SAP, Infosys, Wipro, Bechtle, TCS, E&Y just to name a few of the several collaboration partners who help us to carry our know-how and execution capability in the global market. Special mention must be made of Microsoft, with the leading productivity tools, cloud services, and the best RMS security solution, have been extremely helpful in supporting our success story” – he added.
