SECUDE signs interoperability and joint marketing agreement with Microsoft

The agreement also includes technology development for advancing SAP data download security solution

Lucerne, 10 July 2018: SECUDE, SAP technology partner and leading data security provider for over 20 years, has signed an ‘Interoperability and Joint Marketing Agreement’ with Microsoft. As part of the agreement, SECUDE will work with Microsoft to integrate its HALOCORE solution with Microsoft Azure Information Protection providing additional security to SAP users. In addition, SECUDE will gain marketing assistance from Microsoft through certain key support initiatives. SECUDE is a Microsoft Partner and member of the Microsoft Partner Network.

SECUDE will enhance HALOCORE® through access to applicable Azure Information Protection APIs and receive relevant engineering support from Microsoft. SECUDE’s unique solution allows SAP users to leverage Microsoft Azure Information Protection for intellectual property and other sensitive data when leaving SAP application boundaries.

“We are delighted to have signed this agreement with Microsoft. To me, this agreement shows that Microsoft sees intrinsic value in our data security product. It helps us strengthening our value proposition, presenting a strategic commitment to prospects and opening new opportunities. We appreciate Microsoft’s trust in our solution.” states Dr. Heiner Kromer, Chairman, SECUDE.

“SECUDE shares Microsoft’s vision of protecting customers’ sensitive data so we see HALOCORE as a natural bridge that connects Microsoft Azure Information Protection with SAP applications’ security control mechanism and as such a mutually beneficial proposition,” says Gagan Gulati, Head of Product for Azure Information Protection at Microsoft Corp.

HALOCORE is a unique technology that protects intellectual property and other sensitive information extracted from SAP systems. By integrating directly with SAP and deploying Microsoft Azure Information Protection technology, HALOCORE protects data with intelligent classification, strong encryption, and fine-grained access policies. This innovative approach allows enterprises to maintain a high-level of control and security over sensitive documents extracted from SAP systems throughout their lifetime, even if these have been shared via email, downloaded to a recipient’s PC, moved to a mobile device, or uploaded to the cloud.
