Blake has more than 25 years’ experience as a data and Cloud security specialist across multiple disciplines and vertical industries. Mr. Wood has served on the management teams of two cybersecurity startup ventures and as a senior executive overseeing data security product and service offerings for Verifone, HPE, Thales and Bluefin Payment Systems. Blake has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cal State Long Beach, holds CISSP and CCSP professional certifications from ISC2, and is a patent author for a data tokenization method.
Kevin is a reporter for Infosecurity Magazine. He joined the team in August 2022, after several years covering cyber security and deep tech in France and the UK. He completed his master’s degree in journalism from Sciences Po in Rennes and then went on to write about technology and how it impacts our lives. Kevin has a keen interest in digital rights and a soft spot for technology stories covering areas outside of the western world.
Peter’s career spans 50 years, with experience in network security, social engineering, threat and risk analysis, red teaming, industrial control systems and electronics. He founded First Base Technologies, one of the UK’s first information security consultancies in 1989. Peter provided security advice and guidance for businesses of all sizes for more than 28 years, leading a team of expert penetration testers and consultants unrivalled in the industry.
He is also a world-renowned security evangelist, speaking at major conferences and delivering seminars and webinars. He has appeared in documentaries for BBC television, provided commentary on security issues for TV and radio, and written many articles on a variety of security topics.
He is a BCS Fellow, a Chartered IT Professional, CISSP and a member of IISP, ISACA and Mensa. He is a visiting lecturer at the University of Sussex, teaching cybersecurity and ethical hacking.
Phil is a military veteran with experience working with a wide range of organizations from large multi-national corporations to single person start-ups and many in between.
During the transition to "civvy street" Phil developed an interest in Cyber Security, dedicating time to self-study ethical hacking subjects and earning certificates such as CREST Registered penetration Tester (CRT).
Phil has spent much of the last 3 years supporting organizations to improve their cyber security posture, either through certification schemes such as Cyber Essentials or through penetration testing of network infrastructure.
